Best Washing Machine

Best Washing Machine....

Well you’ll all have to decide yourselves what your best washing machine should be, you can find some ratings of washing machines incase you want to have a look at what each top manufacturer has to offer.

I personally have always been a sucker for all things beautifull and have proudly on display in my kitchen Indesits Moon - what I believe to be the Best Washing Machine around…….

And the most expensive washing machine goes to.....

So the most expensive washing machine that one can buy online is from those meisters of German technology “Miele”.

Their range of washing machines combines everything great about Germany. No not their obsession with eating “sausages” and “Sauerkraut” or the incredible consumption of beer that the nation indulges but their incredible technical expertise.

You can bet your bottom dollar that if you splash out over a grand on a Miele W 2839i WPM that it will save you money at every possible corner, it’ll work for the next hundred years and still sound like a kitten purring. I like to compare them to BMW - have you got that extra bit of cash floating about, then plant some their and you won’t look back!

How fast can a spinny spin?

In days gone by the speed of the spin cycle was not measured in rpm (revs per minute) but most likely in rph (revs per hour) - fast they were not. This ment your clothes would come out pretty wet at best!

In recent times this has become another deciding factor in the quest for the best washing machine. The current best spinning rate in a commercial washing machine is 1800rpm - thats pretty quick. Much faster and your delicates will quite simply disintegrate - btw - I wouldn’t stick the delicates on your spin cycle to often, they don’t seem to like it to much!!

The entry level price wise for such a quick spinner is about £450, the AEG Lavamat 88810 is such machine and highly recommended for some one needing to have their clothing come out of the machine as dry as can be.

Top of the Pops - Not quite but King of the Spins??

Which Wasing Machine saves you the most £££?

Well this is an almost impossible question to answer without taking everybodies specifics in to account. So I will simply give you some examples of the most energy efficient washing machines available at present. Our beloved friends over at the EU saw it in their wisdom to set a european grading system for the Energy efficiency of all washing machines.

Now when the grading started the grade was from A to G, but with modern technology progressing as fast as it does the A suddenly isn’t enough. You can now find A++ graded machines and I’m sure that it won’t be so far off that A+++ or even A+++++++ will become available.

LG seem to be the only Manufacturer to have earnt this tag so far, with the WM-14440TDS and WM-14445TDS leading the field. Truely earning themselves the crown of chief money savers - well done LG!!!!

Best looking washing machine.

Now I’m not sure that this has been really looked at much in the past, but recently I have seen the odd eye-catching washing machine.

Whether the not so known or commercially available, daring Gorenje WA 74163

or the slightly spacey Hotpoint AQXXF149H

But the prize of best looking washing machine has to go to those dudes ove at Indesit. The Indesit Moon has shown that some people has thought outside of the box for once and have come up with a great looking bit of kit - that also works very well.

How much washing fits in a modern washing machine?

We are talking about commercial washing machines here, not the ones round the corner where you can fit half your streets washing at the same time but the ones that you and me can buy with our hard earned pennies…

Not like the times of old when if you placed more than an armful of clothing into said washing machine the thing would make increadible noises and start to smoke. These days those washing machine boffins have made it possible to fit nearly an entire families worth of washing in without a major meltdown.

If you have however a large enough family to warrant having one of these washing machine beasts you should also have a large enough wallet. You should expect to be spending at least £500 - £1000 on one. You’ll then be able to stuff 10kg (dry) washing into said machine and sit back and listen to the quiet humming of mass home washing.

The Best Washing Machine in this category that I have found is the Whirlpool HDW1011. A black beauty of a machine, A+ energy efficiency classed frontloading washing machine. Not everyones choice but a great washing machine at not a bad price.
